Would you like to volunteer your time or talent? Please stop by or give us a call at 541-385-0750 and let us know you'd like to help us help the women of Central Oregon.

Volunteer Positions:

Administration and Reception: We need your help answering the phone, helping women with referrals, greet clients, data entry, filing, mailings and other organizational tasks. Training is provided. Position available Mon.-Thurs. 10am-4pm, any length shift, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.

Database Management: We need help developing and updating our database.

Research and Special Projects: Community Resource Book: Help us keep current the materials in our resource book. Board Support: Help a board member with a project or duties.

Publicity Projects: Help develop of strategies to increase community awareness. Press releases, online calendars, researching potential sponsorships and community events.

Advertising: Create ads, develop an Advertising schedule and research advertising vehicles.

Distribution: Distribute brochures to community businesses and distribute flyers announcing workshops/classes/activities.

Committees

Grant Committee: Grant writing research and assistance needed.

Marketing Committee: Work to identify events/activities/promotional opportunities to get the word out about our services

Fund Development Committee: Work to increase revenue including sponsorship development, appeals, donation campaigns and special events.

Events: 4th of July Booth (AAUW Partnership), Annual Fund Raisers: Fall Auction, Women of Inspiration Luncheon, Women's Fair

Our Center

We need help keeping our center clean and well maintained by doing the following:

• Dusting and vacuuming

Women's Resource Center Wish List: There are a few things we could really use around the center, which are listed below. Please call with any questions, or for information on times to drop off donations. We appreciate any and all help!

• Sandisk Extreme (1.0 or 2.0 GB) for Digital Camera
• Cleaning services
• General office supplies (stamps, copier paper, envelopes)

Other Ways to Help

As a non-profit organization, the Women’s Resource Center of Central Oregon, depends on the generosity of its community to support us through donations so that we may assist women who can’t afford to help themselves. The value that we bring to these women through our classes and counseling services provides them with a roadmap toward a successful transition through difficult times. These women may be your mother, your sister, or your daughter. They are women who love and provide care for others. And when they are not okay, they are not the only ones who suffer. A woman’s role in the lives of their families is to provide guidance, strength, and nurturing. But who nurtures her, holds her up, and counsels her when she needs it? Our goal is to support a woman in all areas of her life, to assist her to be empowered and emotionally healthy, to give her the tools she needs to find her talents, and to help her set goals that will enhance her ability to be successful in all that she does. When a woman feels supported and happy, she can do anything! Please help us to maintain our ability to provide these services and more, by making a donation today.
