Sing, Sing a Song,
Sing out Loud, Sing out Long . . .
Have you ever wanted to sing on stage?  Now is your chance!

Harmony4Women  is a new holiday chorus that offers an open registration to Central Oregon women and teens. Connie Norman, award-winning Music Director of the Central Oregon Showcase, directs the chorus that will present two inspiring performances at Summit High School on November 21st--to the Central Oregon public for only $10 per ticket.

Harmony 4 Women evolved from four nonprofit women's organizations working together to benefit 4 women's groups by inviting guest singers to sing 4-part harmony in a holiday chorus. Event organizers and non-profit beneficiaries are Grandma's House, Saving Grace, Women's Resource Center of Central Oregon (WRCCO) and Central Oregon Showcase Chorus.

Come shine and have fun with us and build a long-lasting memory for yourself, your mother, your daughter and your buddies by enrolling in Harmony 4 Women now. Once enrolled you will receive detailed information about the rehearsals and the music. Weekly rehearsals begin Monday, September 28th at the Redmond Senior Center, and continue every Monday evening until Novem-ber 16th. You CAN do this. You CAN learn 4-part harmony, and you CAN sing. You'll be part of something that will "spread more joy than you ever imagined."

The $35 registration fee includes: 8 educational rehearsals, specially arranged 4-part harmony holiday music, some learning tools and a festive scarf for the performance. Enrollment is limited.  Reserve your space on the risers and register NOW! . . . 8 weeks of practice . . . carpooling . . . lots of fun!  Some donations have been made for scholarships for singers.  Call Nancy below for more information.

Special offering-
Clothing Dept.
Do you know of someone who is homeless, or has lost a job?

We have a rare opportunity for our students, and our families to offer some shoes for those who cannot afford them, as we have had a donation of many pairs of shoes.  We do not have all sizes, but many . . . women's shoes.
Those of you who know of someone who might benefit, please have them call Linda, 385-0356.  Our classes have been few this summer, so we have not been able to offer many pairs through our normal channels.
Women who need clothing can also come to us, and we have some vouchers to be used at the Bend Community Center.  We send clothing donations to them, too.  We do best when we all help each other.

Office Hours at the Center

Many of you know that we are short staffed, in an effort to keep our expenses down.  We could use some computer and phone savvy volunteers to help us cover the office.  If you have any interest in this kind of volunteering, please contact Cyndi, 480-2878, or cyndirf@bendcable.com.  If you call and leave a message, we'll do our best to get back to you as quickly as possible, which might be like 24 hours.

Partners in Transition Project

Ask Linda( trixytazzy@yahoo.com) or Vicky (vmacritchie@yahoo.com) about our offering of transitional training to newly homeless women and families with children . . . Our transitional tools are proving helpful to these individuals to sort through their lives and make plans for their future.  Vicky has taught a mini version of this training at Bethlehem Inn, already.  Our project is more than half funded, but we still need additional funds to get it rolling, and offer it at nearly all agencies and shelters this winter (approx. $10,000).  Your donation to this project can be extremely valuable to our newly homeless families in Central Oregon.  We have received funding from Oregon Community Foundation, Deschutes County, Chambers Family Foundation, Soroptimist International of Bend.  Won't you help us kick this project off for maximum impact on our local homeless families?

Sincerely,
